Our Neighborhood
Eastgate, established in 1917, is located on the near east side of Columbus with about 350 residential homes and one elementary school. The community is centrally located to many amenities within a ten-minute drive. This includes the downtown, the main library, the airport, Easton Towne Center and numerous parks including Franklin, Jeffrey, and Wolfe Park. Two Columbus Metropolitan Libraries, Shepard and Martin Luther King are within five minutes and Nelson Park and the Alum Creek biking path are within walking distance. This quiet neighborhood with meandering streets has a park like feel and many of its residents enjoy daily walks through the neighborhood. The Eastgate Garden Civic Association, established in 1958 currently has about 100 members. The association holds a monthly meeting and several events throughout the year including a yard sale, summer picnic and Christmas party.
